Andrei Kovalevskii, RMT, owner and operator of Windsor Massage
Andrei Kovalevskii is a Registered Massage Therapist, former medical doctor, educator, and author who brings over 25 years of experience in healthcare, wellness, and teaching. Originally trained as a physician, Andrei earned his MD from Kazakh National Medical University in the former USSR. His career has taken him across continents—from providing emergency care in Houston, Texas, to managing healthcare facilities in Kaliningrad, Russia.
In 2002, Andrei graduated from Russia’s prestigious Presidential Management Training Program with a focus on marketing and business management, further developing his leadership skills in the healthcare sector.
After immigrating to Canada, Andrei became a Registered Massage Therapist and founded Windsor Massage and Steam Sauna Clinic in 2015. Since then, he has helped thousands of clients find relief and recovery through therapeutic massage and traditional hydrotherapy, including the use of authentic Russian banya techniques.
In addition to his clinical practice, Andrei is a passionate educator. He teaches anatomy, physiology, and health sciences at triOS College in Windsor, where his teaching excellence was recognized with the 2023 Instructor of the Year Award. That same year, he also received a national Excellence in Teaching Award from Career Education Colleges and Universities in the U.S.
Andrei is the author of The Traditional Russian Banya: The Hydrotherapy Modality for Health and Well-Being and The Massage Therapist’s Guide to Business Mastery. He also co-authored the third edition of Evidence-Informed Massage Therapy, a widely used textbook for massage therapy students and instructors across North America.
Outside the classroom and clinic, Andrei is deeply committed to personal growth and community service. He has volunteered for 10 years as part of the camp crew for the Grand-to-Grand Ultra Marathon, one of the toughest stage races in North America. In 2024, he completed the race himself—covering 275 kilometers through harsh desert terrain with all supplies carried on his back.
Whether working with students, clients, or fellow athletes, Andrei brings a deep passion for healing, performance, and resilience. His approach blends clinical knowledge, intuitive care, and a dedication to lifelong learning.
